Description:
The International Campaign launched in March 2005 is based on understanding of the past of racism and contributing to the future of mutual respect and diversity. The campaign was formed on the basis of the school network that is part of the Transatlantic Trade Education Project, carried out since 1998 by the UNESCO ASPnet. The pack includes the background of the campaign and its global objectives to which schools commit for 3 years. Teaching objectives include knowledge about the roots and history of racism, slavery, discrimination; awareness of Human Rights instruments on the international arena; development of a prejudice-free attitude and vision of society.
